Some Fun Memories and Photos Shared by Mike Davis
I am not a 1964 graduate of Las Lomas High. In fact, I’m a 1964 graduate of Roseville High but I’m in lots of the pictures from Parkmead Elementary school. It was awesome finding them and taking a trip down nostalgia lane. It also made me a bit sad when I reflected on all the contacts/friends I’ve lost over the years. Some, like Larry McLaughlin, are only in a few of the Parkmead pictures, others, like David Powelson, Johnny Allen, Jeff Marshner, Mario Rosati, and John Scofield probably continued through Las Lomas.
While I wasn’t old enough to have a driver’s license when I was a freshman at Las Lomas (the last year I attended), the car that became mine did drop me off there a few times. I’ve included the only “real” picture I have of it and the little boy sitting next to it is my brother, Mark, who is 9 ½ years younger than me.
In digging a bit, I found a picture of me with my Dad’s 1960 Ford. It was taken at 191 Camelia Lane in Walnut Creek some time in 1960.

For laughs, I also attached a picture from 1953 of me and my neighbor, classmate and friend, Mike Messina, who also went to Parkmead. Finally I attached a recent picture of me. With the same ears I had at Parkmead!

Best regards,
Mike Davis

A group of Las Lomas Ladies who have been friends since attending high school went back to visit their alma mater in 1994. They walked the halls, checked out the changes on campus and even sat together in one of the classrooms. Many of us took French, German or Spanish in Room 601, which just happened to be open during their visit. The teacher took their picture, which shows from left to right: Lynne Bowling Mellberg, Janet Rowe Silva, Deanna Coville Howard, Mary Wise Burrell, Carol Marsh Petras, Carol Berriman Stewart and Judy Campbell Meegan.
